"If you're going to plan your next summer-holiday then also start thinking of traveling to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. I am not saying that cause there's that 7-star-hotel and you should live in luxury. And for sure I am not saying that cause you could have the possibilities of laying in the burning sun of the desert and watch pretty girls in small bikinis or you should get problems getting alcohol over there. No, instead of slowly killing your brain cells you could easily awaken your nerve cells. Whether with hammering small nails through your fingertips (see CD-cover) or by just visiting a gig of UAEs very own band Nervecell. The debut-CD "Human Chaos", released at the end of 2004, of the trio Nervecell (James Khazaal/bass & vocals; Rami Mustafa/guitars and Barney Ribeiro/guitars; the drums were recorded by a session-drummer) contains five death metal-tracks with a smaller hardcore-edge. The guys could be compared with combos like for example Sinister Creed (see imports reviews). Means that Nervecell are far away from todays high speed-playing, but are more concerned to a relaxed midtempo. Brutality and aggression are included by deep death growls, a kind of destroying rhythms, lots of cool grooves and fat guitar-riffs. Sometimes the tempo even changes, but more into some doomy parts than in wild speed-parts.

If you are into Sinister, deep "vocals" like Glen Benton and midtempo death metal, you should definitely check Nervecell. And don't be surprised if there's a cool melodic double lead like Maiden/Iced Earth in some song. This way the music gets a lot more variety. Well done! www.nervecell.tk"
