"Preaching Venom" Review [January 2009] "Great! An absolute awesome killer album which these guys from Dubai released here. The new opus by these sons of the desert surpasses the really not weak "Human Chaos" EP which was unleashed upon mankind about four years ago. The band invested a lot of sweat, devotion and passion into the new songs in the past few years and you are really able to hear this on the ten album tracks by all means. In addition the touring seems to pay off as well. Intensive, brutal, variable and technical accomplished - that's the way how the band's Death Metal blasts out of your speakers. Besides the brute Death riffs you can hear an explicit thrashing attack in the band's riffing which compliments the squad as well. Lead guitarist Rami Mustafa is a real master of his trade and apart from playing quite aggressive on his equipment he always has to offer some fulminant and passionate leads. The melodic elements were incorporated very skilled into the brutal overall sound of the quartet and all fits quite well together. Everything complements its another and refreshes the brutal wall of sound. David Haley of the mighty PSYCROPTIC is behind the drum kit this time. So it should be clear to everybody out there that there are absolute no flaws in that department. What you will get here is nothing less than powerful, technical very skilled drumming which causes a great stir. You get brilliant material from the first chapter "Vicious Circle Of Bloodshed" till the final and last tune "Existence Ceased" which meets the highest standards in quality. Killer tracks like "Beyond Our Sins", "Hate Monde Facade" or "Flesh Memories" have the same effects than a wrecker's ball. With "Vastlands Of Abominations" the band re-recorded an old Demo song which finally sounds like it was meant to be. I am also fond of Rajeh Khazaals deep vocals which I don't think that they are too monotonous like some guys will complain again. The icing on the cake is the crisp and powerful production of the album which was mixed in the Hertz studios in Poland and finally mastered by Alan Douches (e.g. SUFFOCATION etc.) in New York (at the West West Side Music studios). I don't need to tell you that the sound quality leaves nothing to be desired. If you are looking for high quality stuff with a touch of exotic then there's no way to miss "Preaching Venom". Excellent stuff!!!" To read in Deutsch click here |
