Human Chaos EP [August 2005]

Publication: Metal Revolution Magazine (Issue 9)

“Human Chaos” is the second demo from this unusual place for metal – band emerging from the commercial capital of the world, Dubai City in the United Arab Emirates. I’ve received this CD a few months ago and since then I still listen to this CD over and over again. The fact that it comes from this very unusual and un-metal country and the fact that it sounds the way it does keeps me coming back to it. Then, you might want to know what it sounds like? For me they sound most of all as Suffocation and Cannibal Corpse but some other thrash influences are to be heard as well. The music includes actually everything from thrash, death, hardcore and heavy metal which makes it very complex but at the same time very listenable. It’s also important to mention that Nervecel had the opportunity to open for the world well known acts Sepultura and Machine Head, which are also your editor’s favorite metal bands. It underline the success and the importance of Nervecell. Unfortunately I’m not able to compare this release with anything else the band has ever done, so I’ll conclude this way: I like the music, I like the guys from the band, their hard work and musicianship but I wish the band will avoid some unnecessary repetitions next time.
