Thanks to Karim Daire for the addition
"This one is a nice underground gem! I am talking about "Human Chaos"
which is the debut MCD by Dubai (United Arab Emirates) based
Death Metal squadron NERVECELL. The band rose out of the sands
of this wealthy Emirate in 1999 and has released also a two
track demo in 2004 (both songs can be found again on the "Human
Chaos" EP). This year these warriors had even the chance to open
for the (annual) Dubai Rock Festival in 2005 where they
supported well known acts like SEPULTURA, SAXON &
MACHINE HEAD on stage. If you expect just crap here just
because of the origination of the band then you are totally
wrong! The five tracks of their debut MCD features excellent mid
paced Death Metal with a slight Thrash Metal influence.
NERVECELL are more into the old school vein as all of their
songs have crushing double bass parts, precise and aggressive
riffing. Lead guitarist Rami delivers also some excellent and
brillant solos and leads where he also incorporates oriental
melodies. The vocals are rough and deep, reminding me on some
old school acts like SINISTER, DEICIDE & MASSACRE (just
to give you a rough description). The band varies within their
tracks between mid paced and slower parts only in the title
track 'Human Chaos' they have some faster sections. If they add
some more faster speed eruptions on their next output then their
material will even shred more. The production suprisingly good
and can compete without any doubt with international standards.
So all in all I recommend fans of early 90s Death Metal to
check this EP out. Support the real underground! Don't hesitate
to get in touch with the band at
www.nervecell.tk. Thrash Till Death!"
